Live building
If ur a builder u r just another builder when do u get to be a carpenter it takes a good 5 to eight years to become a descent man behind the hammer I have my time behind me and it was no easy task to become a good Carpenter good thing I had a good teacher or it would’ve been a lot harder to become what I have become and to be able to use the skills that I have to be doing positive projects and not shitting the bed on them we’re more and find a lot of people getting ripped off and taking a vantage of due to the fact that they don’t know anything about renovations or construction make sure you call a couple contractors do you know how to make sure that your friends have used them or somebody can give you an example of what they’ve done otherwise you’re just setting yourself up for who knows what I’ll probably say 40% of the people that are builders are not there to do your job not there for you they’re there just to grab some cash and get out To protect yourself and not do it yourself unless you have experience contractor with you and it’s a lot harder work than you think for me become a routine so it should be easy but it’s still not effort equals results.Call to make sure that your brother has a permit for everything otherwise you’ll end up kicking yourself in the in the back side be diligent in dealing with the city as well if u don’t and u get reported by a neighbor or a jealous person or a passing by builder or inspector do it right away please Dont a just go ahead and do it yourself otherwise you’ll end up in trouble and they put a stop work permit on your site I know they charge not sure how much tho double for your next permit is what I remember or whatever way they can suck money out of you now in my situation my land is alr making it Almost untouchable and I just want to build a small home for myself and my family and I got to go through an impossible to get any kind of building permit situation to put a second building on our family property I mean I’m just a son of the landowner and I just want to build a small home for myself and my family and I got to go through hoops I mean it’s ridiculous it’s only 2 acresI mean not much you can do a few acres and then it’s also right on the edge of the fucking line so tiks me off quite a bit I got to send the plans into Vancouver to get approval and then back here and then send them into Cowichan as well I want to Build just a small 60 x 45 steel outdoor building and I will be able to house me and my vehicles my tools everything and another place behind it I mean I don’t understand why we can’t do that it’s all in the family anyways watch out and do things buy the book thanks so much for reading
Doing jobs cooperation is key
For me when I do a job I just like to get in get it done do a great job make sure the homeowners happy and you got out of there I’m also I’ll get paid of course I don’t like to slander people I don’t like to talk behind their back I don’t like grief or arguments or any kind of slander or you know what I mean just two-faced s*** I know what I’m doing so let me get in there and get it done and if you if we can all work together and the job can get done properly efficiently and most of all on time and under budget usually I do everything I can to keep costs low while still keeping quality High so for those of you out there it’s not great to talk behind people’s backs or did make somebody look like an idiot or back talk some other contractor I know that when I walk into a house I see the job I know what I got to do don’t like interference people might change their mind once or twice but renters I’ll let them put some in put in but it’s not in the usual circumstances that they get to say anyting I’m in the poke your nose in the shitt just makes problems so here I’m Allan lawrance and I just wanted to say get along with your contractor or otherwise things will be Tuff the whole way through let’s work together be a team finish the job
Why is everyone so difficult

Hey started a job what a nightmare it turned out to be I’m so disgusted and disappointed. People have a lot of nerve I start the bathroom was just putting tile or redoing the floor so I dug in Andy as we all know it turned into a real big mess rotten joise and ship lap took tub out got into the some real fun with rotten and moidy wood what a beautiful little thing we’ll dur to unexpected shit the job turned into longer me more work higher price the price was good so the tenant comes home and starts telling me great job blah blah then the wife gets home and tells me it’s taking way to long and get my tools and leave so l did the fucking rough task of putting up worth the renters shit so I held my own well my mom over heard the argument and stepped in the home owners boyfriend try’s to make a move towards her a violent move I was and am just in awe at this situation and how They totally put themselves behind by being selfish and rude I’m pretty broken up about this I have never experienced anyone more unreasonable anyhow I always get things done and it comes out epicallyunreal they reallhy made me want. To run away and never come back I didn’t end up going back and tile the shower got the tub in call the plumber cuz the drain broke what a big problem that was its cast-iron under there just one nightmare to another in this place as most rentals go of course you should have called the plumber before Bubba Bubba blah I won’t everybody is rushing you and it’s just so difficult to keep things together in such a small job I can’t believe it when you got the homeowner the renter the plumber and everybody is trying to put their two cents in they could have just listened to what I had to say and it would have been done another putting laminate flooring on the walls like what the f*** is wrong with people unreal epicly unreal so then I go in for surgery and they’re still calling me you know just can’t recover properly and I’m just wow are people useless surely not everybody is like this so to bring a means to an end giving a bill and then I’m going to run hey do you know he hired a guy to take over and kind of finish the job well my plumber said he was just a f****** nightmare like you know cut himself cut the hole too big for the spout just incompetent I’ll try to find funny cuz he told me you was the best you should see this guy work and talk to my boss huge when you turned out to just be a nightmare so often times it’s better to just sit back keep your mouth closed let the contractor do his job and then don’t start Beacon off till it’s done unless you really see something that’s totally being done wrong are you have bad feelings but other than that I mean give a give a guy a chance to finish a job otherwise you’re just going to make it take longer more difficult everybody gets along and everything goes smoothly job shouldn’t be so long

Life of construction
Did I ever think I’d be in construction no I definitely thought I could find a better career than this the labour and the intense instruction concretes one of the hardest things you can ever do I mean I think you’re probably last 25 years before your body really starts to break down I was picturing myself like you are you know being a lawyer or something A veterinarian. I think when you start it’s great you learn a lot it’s a great thing to have to fall back on if you going to a different industry and you end up not being able to do it or things crash there’s no business in that market anymore than you can always go back to construction but to have it as a lifelong career is just unless you’ve become a big company and you’re making good money and you’re out on your own it’s just not a great thing to do like foundation is in framing are really hard very labor-intensive people think it’s easy to frame a house but it’s not.
